Orange County Woodturners

Orange County Woodturners is a special interest group of the Orange County Woodworkers Association, located in Orange County, California.

Meeting on the Third Thursday of each month, our purpose is to provide a forum for OCWA members and guests who have an interest in woodturning.

Along with our parent organization, the Orange County Woodworkers Association, Orange County Woodturners are dedicated to bringing some happiness to underprivileged children in Orange County, California through the annual Christmas Toy program.

OC Turners are also actively involved in the making pens as gifts, shipping thousands of handcrafted pens to Military personal serving in harm's way.

Orange County Woodturners is a local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners.

Our meetings include a live turning demonstration, active discussions and a challenge for members to try the demonstrated technique for a contest during the following meeting.

Just making an effort can qualify you for a prize and helps you develop new skills.

Our meetings include a show and tell, access to the club Video and Book library and a 50/50 drawing. You keep half and club does too.  The funds raised through the 50/50 and private donations fund the Freedom Pen Project.  We will supply the kits for you to turn, just return the completed pens at the next meeting and we will see that they get in the hands of men and women in the military.

Good company, snacks and even a quick celebration of this month's birthdays makes for a fun evening.  We hope to see you there.
